A Word before the Crisis Ends

My dear brothers and sisters, I am writing you today with both a burden and an expectation on my heart. Very soon life will begin to move back to normal. This means that our time of being closed in our homes will come to an end. Will Christ Jesus remain the center of our focus and the longing of our hearts? Will the church recognize that God has chosen this time to do something very powerful, transformational and life-changing among us?

My great burden is that God will finish His work among His people before our doors completely open. I pray that we will allow His Spirit to rend our hearts more and more, taking us deeper and deeper and deeper into faith each day. And I pray that we will not cease seeking Him as we have been these past weeks, for without doubt our God has chosen to do something great among us.

And it is here that I have great expectation: That our God will open the heavens and pour His divine blessings upon us. That we will walk in humble anointing, hand-in-hand with our Savior Jesus Christ. That we will see signs and wonders like the New Testament faithful. That we will become His instruments of praise and healing and deliverance and salvation and sight to the spiritually blind. That Isaiah 61:1-3 will be fulfilled among us, with a Gospel for the poor going out around the earth. And may this be done for His glory and His alone.

I pray that those whose hearts are searching will know His name and lift their voices in praise and adoration across the Earth.  I pray that youth and young adults will become world changers, unashamed of the Gospel and fully empowered by His Holy Spirit!  I pray that we who have been watchman on the walls will do as the prophet said in Isaiah 62 and “take no rest until He completes His work.” Then may we speak as Isaiah 62:11, “The LORD has sent this message to every land: “Tell the people, HOPE is coming!'”

Lord, we cast off our old wine skins. Place upon us new ones and fill us with the new spiritual wine so that we may go forth under the power and authority of Your Holy Spirit, invading darkness with the Light and bringing Hope to this world! May this be the cry of our hearts and may we see it become true everywhere among us so that Your name may be glorified across the earth! And may we remember that “He is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we can ask or even imagine according to His power working among us” (Ephesians 3:20) To God be the glory, for great things He will do!!!
